The first pic makes the spoiler look black. Paint match is pretty good though you think?

Makes me want mine even more. Can't wait to see the install pics!!

 

There is a guy where I work who has the roof & trunk spoiler on an 03-04 sedan. I think it's over kill! The lip is enough.

 

I think it is the light and the angle that made it looks like black. It is installed and am uploading the pics now. Should be posted here shortly. I like it a lot...

 

carking sent me the install steps, the key is do let it sit for 12 hours after it is installed to ensure a proper bond. You may want to masked the area with painter tapes first. Anyway, see the pics!!!

1. Clean the surface that is to be covered
by the spoiler thoroughly with Isopropyl
Alcohol.

2. Before removing the tape backing, test
fit the spoiler in order to get comfortable
with the placement. You can mark the
position with a grease pen or masking
tape to ensure a perfect fit.

3. Peel back the corner of the backing on
the 3M tape and remove all pieces. Avoid
touching the exposed tape.

4. Firmly press down on the spoiler to
ensure cohesion along the entire vehicle
surface. Continue to apply pressure or use
masking tape to keep unit from lifting. Do
not drive for 12 hours!

 

 

to me it doesn't look natural... like all the other OEM lips

 

These are the alternative to the OEM wing. Good thing is they are on 3M double-side tapes so you can always take it down. The OEM, you can't since they are drilled down to the trunk. I wish nissan makes this style trunk lips like the front chin lip and I wouldn't mind paying the extra to complete the OEM like. For the price and quality, I doubt you will find a better deal for people looking for anything otherthan the OEM wing!

 

It looks 1,000,000,000 times better than no lip or the stock spoiler IMHO. Looks good Larry, the paint appears to be a solid match. When you get a chance would you post up some pics from a little farther away from the car for a different perspective?

I didn't realize your car is X-rated.

 

i know its our only option. I dont like the OEM wing, i've consider this a long time ago. but the sizing thru me off. You solved that tho, which is great for some.

I really like the look of it but reason behind why i dont like it and say its not natural is because it sticks out like a sore thumb. the overall end height is good but the beginning height is what i dislike, it needs to be lower so it somewhat flows more, similiar to OEM cars with such lips. it should start off 1/2 the side of what is it.

But thats me, honestly i might get it and do exactly what you did and get it slightly longer. Its something I do like, maybe after a couple other pictures from others i will get it.

Its a nice price, since its painted and completely reversible.

 

looks great i think i found my next mod, but let me get this straight...how long do i want to order so that the spoiler is flush with where the trunk lid ends?

 

The best is to measure the trunk yourself. Mine is supposed to be 1155mm (~45.47") and there is about 1/8" left on both side.

But I think you should get the lip slightly shorter than the trunk. Go back and see the pics posted. You will see both sides are not truly parallel to the trunk and the top corners will never reach the trunks' seams if you cut it exactly the same width. Second thing is how accurate will they be able to measure and cut the lip? You are screwed if the lip is even a little bit wider than you trunk.
