Installed my Z-Tube yesterday, was quite surprised by the beautiful sound at around 3800rpm and the little burple it makes on the way back down at about 1100rpm. From the posts here I thought it wouldn't be much louder than stock, but with the windows down this thing screams at me. I think doing this gave me the mod bug but I'm trying to take it nice and slow. Off subject but after I installed the tube I took it for a spin and did an 80mph to about 10 slow down and then parked it soon after and all four wheels were smoking from the brakes. I had new rotors and front pads put on about a month ago hope I didn't do any damage. The pedal feels fine but smoke makes me worry.

my gf gave me the " not again " look when she saw springs in my trunk.

its a hobby, everyone spends their money one way or another. either it be remodeling the house, fancy lawn, new bathroom. Or eating at fancy places. Getting that big plasma. vacation, gambling. shoes and purses for the females. People nag to me and i tell them to STFU and bring up their most recent purchase or if they are the ones that save save save, i tell them i'm happy and i cant take money with me to my grave and even if i did it would be completely pointless.

I just install the Z tube today as well, it sounds nice that's about all i saw.

LOL, Completely.
I always felt that other people that just used their rides for transportation and not enjoyment were really missing out.
Kinda like the commercial with all the hampsters mindlessly running in place on their treadmills while the Kia Soul passes them by.
Then again I'D be a mindless rodent driving a Kia.
I have fun everytime I drive my car and hear that growl from the engine

My old hobby was my Home Theater. With one of the best tv's on the market(Pioneer), and a good surrround set up, HD-DVD and Bluray i am set in that department. Now the spending will start on my car. I want to get it paid off in a year or so. Now I have to decide whether to spend excess money on mods or put it towards my principal. HHMMMM?
So far the only things i want to do are get the spacer, z-tube, 18" wheels and tires, and maybe exhaust. But i haven't even had the car two weeks yet. We shall see.

We shall see is right. When I bought my car I told myself that all I was going to do was a K&N drop-in. That went out the window after about a week. Just wait. It's as, or more, addictive than the home theater bug. I went through the same cycle. Bought a Pioneer Elite 50" plasma along with a new receiver and PSB speakers. I already had the PS3 for Blu-ray. Couldn't be happier with the setup. If you've never heard PSB, you should check them out. I believe they are the best speakers for the money across their whole line out there. You canadian guys should know PSB. They're up there in your neck of the woods.

My mod bug is at an even keel. Not so much anymore, just the occasion runny nose (or mod) every now and then.

I cant wait to buy my own house, ill have a kickass home theater setup.

As for people hating on mods. My dad questions them, but the rest of my family is into cars and modding so it isnt a big deal.
