Improving Gas Milage: Tips ?
some methods that improve MPG:
- drafting: if you drive on the HWY, mythbusters confirmed that this will dramatically improve MPG. however, they also said that it is really dangerous, so don't blame me.
- cruise control: the constant changes of your foot on the gas pedal will cause the car to lose MPG
- coasting to red lights/stop signs: not only does this help save gas, but your brakes as well
- when on HWY, stay within 55-70 MPH: as you go above those marks, MPG drops
anyhow, i average about 22 MPG with 80% HWY, and I've gotten 27 MPG on some stretches

I get between 17-19 avg. I drive a mix of country roads with random stoplights( I wouldn't call it CITY) and very little highway. I also drive an 06x and have a heavy right foot. Been meaning to get that checked out...
Cruise control, properly inflated tires, make sure you keep your A/C off if you don't need it (i'm guilty of leaving it on in the winter when i need heat) keep your windows and sunroof closed
The areo kit (rear wing and underbody diffusers) is supposed to drop the CD down .01....but lets be realistic. How much of a difference will that really make when you factor in the cost of parts
The gas mileage on these cars is terrible. I have AWD so it's even worse. I came from a V8 Mustang GT and coule get 26-27MPG easily on the highway with 87 octane. Now i'm lucky to so 21-22MPG using 93 octane.
Fortunately i can afford it

I got 28mpg highway 31miles total trip with 2miles being city. I did that round trip (61miles) 4 times and then the rest city, I got 350miles and still had 4 gallons left. So I bet I can do 400 easy all highway. Stock car btw.
I'm not sure why anyone would be concerned about mileage and desire a performance car.. However, coming from a Ridgeline, this car has great mileage
. On the highway I seem to get at least 400mi on a tank. Regular city is about 18-19 and I dont feather the throttle. The psi in my tires is about 27 too. I should probably add some air, but love the added traction on the worn oem tires.

I get about 18/19mpg round town and the burbs but did crack 23ish on a 300 mile trip to OK. I think that's great mileage for a performance sedan tbh. My motorcycle got about that and was 800cc and seated one with no luggage.
