How is the turning radius on G?

Hi...
I have a 2000 Maxima SE 5-speed manual....and the turning radius on my car is horrible....
when I'm parking the car at tight areas (like shopping malls) I gotta do it twice....pretty embarrasing.....
anyways...I was just wondering if any G35 owners have problems with the turning radius on your tires ...
any problem parking?

Re: How is the turning radius on G?

From specs I can find, it looks like the turning circles for these two are about the same. I'm surprised you have that much trouble with it, I rarely have to make a second run at parking spots.

Turning Circle, from Edmund's (in feet):
2000 Nissan Maxima SE - 35.4
2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan - 36.0
1992 Honda Accord LX 36.1 (my last car)
2003 BMW 330i - 34.4 (just thrown in for reference)

Of course, I never had any trouble parking my old 92 Accord, either. Technically, the turning radius is basically the same as the G35, but in practice it seems to be much tighter. It might just be the fact that there's less overhang in front of the front wheels on a G35. I guess that's why they call it "curb-to-curb" instead of "wall-to-wall." Re: How is the turning radius on G?

I had a 2001 I-30, which I would assume had the same radius as your Maxima - I agree the turning radius on it sucked. I park every day at work were I drive up a ramp to work, then take a 180 degree turn. The I 30 almost didn't make it without stopping and backing up. The G35 is MUCH better. I'd guess the turning radius to be about 4 feet less. It a huge improvement.

The turning radius is awesome on G35. Much better than the I35, Acura TL-S, etc.

Re: How is the turning radius on G?

I35 and Maxima both have a 40' turning radius, while the G's is 36. One of my friends has an I35 and he complains a little about the large turning radius. I find the G's turning radius to be fine, and have not had any problems with it.

Actually if you drive a I-35 then go back to drive a G35 you will notice a HUGE difference in the turning radius.. the I35 sucks!
