05 Sedan G catback options

1. Stillen
2. Borla

That's it, right? I've seen a few others but they either don't fit (only fit coupe) or sound bad. For example I heard some HKS clips on youtube and didn't like. Is there an alternative to these two choices that is cheaper and still sounds good, and is still a full catback system?

Dude, there's a lot more. Here's a link to a list of exhaust for sedans along with sound clips. https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...mpilation.html 03-04 exhaust will also fit an 05-06. You'd just need the exhaust bracket from an 03-04.

Try Motordyne XYZ pipe and look for their catbacks for the sedans.

Thanks, still looks like Stillen or Borla are the way to go for me based on sound. I also am not a fan of the single giant hole sticking out of the rear of the car which eliminates Greddy, HKS, Tanabe (prefer dual exit pipes). I wish Magnaflow made a system.

Also Twilight thanks, I don't see that Motordyne makes a catback exhaust.

They just started making one for the sedans. I'm waiting for the dual tips which are in production now.

willing to shell out that much for a Borla/Stillen + not having one yet + Motordyne's recent introduction of their XYZ Y and catback systems = no brainer to choose the Motordyne. Just way more R&D into Motordyne's stuff not to give it a SERIOUS consideration.

If I were in your shoes, I'd go Motordyne and wait for a dual tip muffler later. And I already have a modded Borla dual system.

For Motordyne on a Sedan it looks like you would need this: ($777) Sedan VQ Exhaust

http://motordyneengineering.com/cata...roducts_id=102

And addition of this: ($460) XYZ Pipe

http://motordyneengineering.com/cata...products_id=97

Correct?

And finally...do Megan Racing catbacks basically suck at $450?

Dual tip mufflers are the way to go. IMHO single tips look like something you'd see hanging underneath a civic.

2 tips just looks classier for some reason.

If i could only find a quiet dual tip completely SS muffler. I want the looks but i do not want a sound increase at all.

Ever consider getting the FatBoy Dave B tips and having your oem can plated?
