Hey guys, new member here. I have been checking out these forums for awhile now and have received a few great info. Thanks to the administrator for putting up this great forum. I have question for you guys. I have 2004g35 with a few engine mods; custom full catback exhaust, stillen hfc and 5/16 motordyne plenum spacer. My question is now that i have done these mods should i change my stock spark plugs for high pergormance spark plugs? and if so, which ones should i get?

The stock ones are good for 100K miles. No need to replace them if you are not going FI

I wouldn't wait till 90K or 100K miles to change the spark plugs out. I removed the original plugs out of my car at 71K miles, and 4 out of the 6 plugs are at least mildly corroded on the threads (not the electrode portion, though the electrode has turned to a crusted white color). And as 350GT-R alluded to, at least one of the spark plugs on the driver side will most likely be oil soaked because of the spark plug valve cover gasket needing to be replaced. This is getting to be a common issue on our G's.

The oil leakage in the spark plugs tube is another issue. Yes, you definitely should check for leaks there. There is a sticky about this HERE

Most of these hi-po plugd are just gimmick plugs. The spark plug is a very simple design, with not much to really improve upon.

Stick with the stock NGK plats. If you go forced induction or nitrous, go with NGK Iridiums.
