Tinting curiosity..

How much did you guys get your windows tinted for and any pics? I want to do mine, but I'm mad cheap lol. I wanted to get mine done for 100 from somebody but the person he did it for told me she has bubbles all over her car now. So im guessing i should get mine done professional for more huh?

You get what you pay for and not all tint and installers are alike. What people paid is useless info as well since there are so many factors in it.

140 for all 5 windows(20%) and 70 for the windshield(50%). I know my friend got it from the same place for 100 but he had a Z, so idk if that would make a difference. He was being charge the same price as me but he brought it down to 100 after 10 mins of negotiating lol

i did mind for 175 and is pretty good. No problems at all. You can go to those 99 dollar places but they will bubble and turn purple over time. There are some tints that price goes up till like 200-350. Pending on the type you get and the higher heat rejection percentage. I didnt need that because I dont have high temp in my city. If you live in a high climate area then invest. You can slightly damage your leather over time if you let the sun get in too much

I paid $160 for all 4 windows (30%), the rear windshield (15%) and the top strip of the front windshield (15%). It's already been over 2 years and the tint still looks great. Price includes lifetime warranty for bubbling, cracking and any other tint flaws.

for that strip on the top or the whole ws tinted?

OP

Can't recall how much since it was 5 yrs ago. If I had to guess it was $170-190 for a professional job. No bubbles, no problems to this day. Picks are from 10 mos. ago. Limo tint in the back, legal tint on front doors. It's nice and dark but I can see no problem at night, not like double or triple 5% which is crazy.

i just got mine tinted, im actualyl kind of disappointed, they left a "finger bubble" on my rear left window, and i paid 225! but i showed the place once i picked up my car and they said to come back and fix it. Mine is ok, i think its a little light? but living in MA, legal is 35%. The 35% is what is read on the meter if you get pulled over, but the tint is really 38%. O well, better than nothing. The back is 30% tint, 28% read on meter. Says the girl that work there.

Try to find a professional that will give lifetime warranty. The "good" pros will usually back up their work.

if you do front, rear, and back windshield, they charge you for 7 windows, not 5. the rear doors have 2 pieces of tint. At least that's what happened to me, and it was $20 each for a grand total of $140.

30% ceramic, on top of the stock tint that comes with the '09 G37 vehicles.

I priced around, and in the end I went with the guy with the best referrals. This forum helped connect me to Vince (http://www.yelp.com/biz/omega-werks-...ch/query:omega tint) and he did a really good job. Booking two appointments, one for my G37 and the other for my close friend's G35. I paid $120 over the best price in my area, but I am really happy with the quality of work. Can't get quality for cheap! When I had my '06 G35 6MT, I took it to a shop that popped my door panels off and left raddle noises... I hate interior noises! They also charged me $650 for ceramic. Fast forward to 2009, I found Vince who didn't touch my panels and did it for a much better G35driver forum price.
