steering wheel is shaking?? *another problem*
its like problem after problem. i thought because when i got my brake pads installed reversed way maybe that was problem, but now they are in correctly and the clip spring is clipped into the loop. On the highway, my wheel shakes, when i press the brake then it shakes even more like the car is shaking. I take my hands off the wheel and maybe its just the road but it goes to the left sometimes. Also my tire pressure light kept coming on and off on the highway when i was driving far. i filled it up with air, but i didnt have tire gauge meter at the time so had no idea which tire was low. Anyway the light continued to come on and off. Do i have warped rotors? i got them changed at like 36k fronts. Monroe got some cheap crap then, unless they got screwed up after he put the pads in the wrong way. i never had this problem before. Do i need a wheel alignment again?
There are multiple reasons that can cause that. The quickest easiest question if it could simply be your rotors, is when you had your brakes changed, were your rotors machined or if they couldn't be machined anymore did you just have new rotors installed on the car with the new brake pads. Also if your rotors were warped you would be able to tell just by looking at them and they would be making noises like scrapping or two metal pieces rubbing against each other kinda noise.
more of less you need to learn to drive if the rotors are warped that quickly. a good percentage of rotor warppage is due to drivers, riding on the brakes, excessvive braking and etc.
I think the wheel isn't tighten... if the wheels are tighten then rotate your wheels to elimate the possibly of the wheels needing balancing. when you rotate the wheels, if the shaking is a little less but present then you need to balance the wheels, if they are still present and the wheels are fully tighten then i guess when they did the brakes they forgot to tighten it.
your tire pressure is normal. you need to go like 40+ miles for the TPMS light to show up. the sensors could be off another car, a sensor might be bad. If it bothers you a lot have the dealership set your TMPS system for like $50-75.
this was happening with my wife's SUV recently. the steering wheel would begin to shake at exactly 65 MPH and above. took it in, and they simply rebalanced the tires. no more shakes. they said that it was caused b/c whoever put my tires on last time, did not balance them correctly. that was 2 years ago at NTB.

thanks for the answers. first i do have TPMS sensors in my wheels because i remember when i had to put the full spare on and that tire pressure light was on forever and did not come off because that tire did not have TPMS. Its just wierd the light would come on and off if im driving on highway for a long time and the wheel is shaking. The wheels need balancing again? Why would my wheels not me tightened the lug nuts. I saw him put the pads on correct way and used the impact gun to tighten lug nuts for the front. It was still shaking even when i left and before the pads were reversed. The day i left that first time when the pads were installed incorrectly i had wheel shaking. I had brand new rotors put on before. I have 58k miles now and my rotors are bad? When the pads were reversed i told him i had wheel shaking and i said so i have warped rotors probably and he said you dont get shaking from rotors, but then again hes the one that i had to tell him how to correctly install the pads and spring to loop.

honestly it could be a lot of things...
you dont need a wheel alignment, that has nothing to do with your shaking. wheel balance is what your might look into. most wheels have either tape weights or clip weights to balance them. if one slips off then you will need to re-balance that wheel. Wheel balance generally cost $10 per wheel.
Right now i would do what i suggested and see if its brake related or wheel related. If it was shaking when you first left his shop, came back had him re-do the pads and left again with it shaking. I guess he put on the wheel tight enough. He could of wrapped your rotor by overtightening the wheel since the wheel is pressed into the rotor and then the hub. People have told me about situations. I never seen it but it makes sense.
I would have the guy who did the brakes, look everything over to make sure he didn't mess it up. have him jack up the car and try to make the wheel wobble with his hands at 12 and 6 o clock to check the ball joint.
i can tell you a lot of simple checks that you can do to try and pin point what is causing it. But the most common reason is wheels are not balanced and wheel is not tighten properly.

is $20 for rotation and balance a good deal? I dont think i would want them to rotate because my rear left tire is practically brand new when i replaced it. does that matter to move it to the front?
so basically get wheels balanced, rotated then go to replace rotors. my steering wheel shakes at high speeds and my steering wheel/car shakes worse when i press the brakes. that has to be warped rotors
well the problem better be solved tommorow. im getting new front rotors and tire rotation and balance for free. nice guy i think he should take care of it considering 1 of his mechanics i had to tell him how to install pads correctly when they are doubting me i was wrong the whole time. it has to be one of the 2. I have 58k hopefully no ball joints are going.
Start with the easy stuff
get a tire pressure guage and check your tires. Make sure they are all 32psi.
Do you have a torque wrench? If so, retorque evern lug nut to 80 ft-lbs in a star pattern.
Inspect each wheel and see if any of the stick on weights fell off. If you still have vibration, rotate the front wheels to the back. It will move the vibration so you don't feel it in the wheel. If this works, rebalance the wheels.
If it doesnt work, it could still be a balance issue, but it could mean other probs as well
