TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
Nice post Mindworm. I am glad you are enjoying your TL as well you should. Taste, of course, is subjective, and I like the G35 Sedan better - which works out well since that is what I own. : )
I am glad you feel the same about your car too. Enjoy.

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
"AWD when the engine is longitudally mounted or where the awd system puts 70% of the power to the front wheels by default are not the real deal either. The legacy GT is an example of FWD car with an AWD drivetrain strapped on like an afterthought. "
It is amazing the amount of excrement that gets spewed online by people who like to think they know what they are talking about. Subaru's awd system, unlike so many others, does NOT bias towards the front and transfer power with slippage. In the mt's it is a fulltime 50/50 split (except for the STi which allows you to manually split it any way you want from 50/50 to 100% rear) and with at's its a 45/55 split with a rear bias. They generally also have either a rear limited slip or rear and front limited slip differential.
You are just repeating BS from somebody else who had no idea what they were talking about apparently...

LOl Sixfive everything you said is what was in my mind!! The TL interior is awesome and so is the exterior, i see regular TL's now in white and the white really makes the car stand out, i love the way it looks but the interior of both of our cars are too luxurious for my taste! I want something too sporty and just for the tracks haha... I once saw the TL A-Spec in a charcoal grey color and i parked next to it outside of Friday's restauraunt, a few people walking by were looking at both of the cars lol (they were in front) and then the TL owner came outside and was looking at my car, the TL A-spec is hot though. Too bad they are FWD, they would have given us some competition

Yea, Nismo is the maker of the body kit. The side skirts are also diff. from the stock ones, they are lower and look a lot diff. also, not just that they're painted!! Thanks for the compliment, i love the car =)

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
I've got that charcoal grey myself...called Anthracite if you have a TL. That or black are the two best colors, imho. Just such a beeeotch to keep black clean tho!
Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
Yeah, my car is black and its impossible to keep them looking good for more than about a day.
I had a metallic gray let's see, 5 cars ago that I really liked.
Silver of course is the easist to keep looking good.

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
If I were buying a TL (which I wouldn't because it's FWD) I would definitely pick grey... that's the best color IMOP... and it's a beautiful car... actually it's good that it's FWD or I'd be kicking myself in the *** for not waiting till it came out... because if it were RWD I'd probably trade in my G35 and get one.

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
Lol !! I parked next to another TL-A spec today, it hinkt he same one it was in charcoal and that car IMO is soooo nice!! The stock is nice also but the kit on the aspec and wheels just transform the car also. It would be tough if both were in RWD, but i think i would still take my g full aero kit over it, the vtec is nice but the g just has that power throughout the whole rev band, the VQ just has that raw power.

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
What engine does the TL have in it? I just picked up an Odyssey last month. It's got a 3.5L VTEC and it cooks pretty good.. I wonder if it's the same engine? Oh and their auto transmission is not comparable to my G35. It doesn't shift as well much too soft
But like I said FWD I'll pass on it. I remember the first time I nailed that minivan I almost ended up in the next lane... that was some kickass torque steer.

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
It is the almost the same engine, like the VQ30DE is to the VQ35DE. But they have a 3.2L.

But it still sux
So until they put 100% to the rear wheels unless needed otherwise and turn the engine around 90 degrees on its mounts then you'll be pretty pissy eh? You should be

Re: TL and the G35 both are prettydamnsweet...
Although they say the WRX Sti is full time AWD, they have a power distribution thing where you can put from 20% up to 100% of the power to the rear wheels, my friend did it once att he track and was spinning like RWD!!
