Thanks for the info man, does that shifter plate just snap back into place? Any room between that plate and the center console that it sits on? I'm not gonna meet up with the AUTO G35 til monday but kinda want to know what I'm dealing with because it sounds like I'm going to need some thinner leather if theres not much room to work with.

Not expensive at all in my opinion, I'm selling them for $30 shipped maybe less depending on what you want. Most companies sell it for $40-$50 and up and they never fit right which is what I'm trying to change.

there is lil to no room between the console + plate.......and if you dont figure out a way to secure it tuck it in.....it will slip out very quickly since AT guys switch from P to D all the time and it moves the entier boot!

However, the console is very easy to remove, and the PRND plate is easily removable and attached with screws from behind the console. It's possible to scren them in tightly, but it's keeping it there that's gonna be a problem.

or u can custom mold a piece that can just go with the console?
like cutting a circle on a plastic thingy to make it look like its a manual console.
so it can go around our stock auto shifting thingy. lol

I think I might've figured it out guys! I would have to use a combination of leather for the shift boot and at the bottom use some sort of thin fabric that can wrap underneath the shifter circular plate and still have it close. I'll have more details later!

Can anyone take a picture of the bottom of the shifter circular plate? and a picture of the hole after you remove the shifter circular plate? I'm not meeting up with the AUTO guy til monday just trying to get some more ideas on how to make this work!
