Will it drone if I...?

If I remove the stock muffler and replace it with an aftermarket one, but leave the piping/cats/midpipe alone?

Specifically on the freeway 65-80mph

Any advice is much appreciated

No baffles or walls, just a straight through design with stuffing (glasspack?) inside

hmm u mite a tad bit, but not really that much bro. if u dont touch the midpipe or the cats, u will not drone a hell of a lot, but you will still have some drone.
what muffler are you thinking of getting

would a traditional catback like the Megan OE-RS drone just as much? I assume so since it changes the piping

you wouldnt get alot, if you were to take off the resinators then yes you would, i took my resinator off of my coupe midpipe running stock muffler sounds nice but around 4-5k it drones then goes away.

yeah, i hope you're not expecting the "10-15 horsepower gain" lol

like 4drgreatness (i feel silly writing your sn vivek) the muffler will add a bit of drone. if you mess w/ the midpipe and stock resonator, that will significantly add drone.

I see, with HFC, headers and a catback I would of thought the drone to be unbearable.. but everyone has different ears and thresholds especially if you're used to it

imo it will drone because there will be no resontor but u cant go wrong with the price on that part. If you dont like it, you can always just put back ur stockie.

Go for it!!

Yeah I imagine the drone to be minimal if anything, will probably jump on it. Thanks for the advice fellas
