Is it me or does it look like the instrument pod will no longer move with the steering wheel? It looks fixed in the picture. I'm guessing that since the steering wheel will have power tilt and telescope, they decided to do away with the moveable instrument pod.

Well, after seeing this pic, I looked at my car this afternoon, that pic could just seem that way since it's tilted up, mine looks like that in the up position IMO!

If the sedan rims look like 18s that would make the coupe version of the same rims to be 19s. The tire profile looks thinner. Anyone else think so?

 

Both of the boots are beige, the top picture looks black because of lack of lighting, but on my screen I can clearly tell that it's beige.

I disagree with that, the top pic is black, and the console is as well, the seats are the "frost" color referred to in other posts here, I opened both pics in Photoshop, and the seat in the top pic is definitely gray, I brought the brightness way down on the 2nd pic, and it looked brown, not black.

does anyone think that the keyless go system will be "swapable" with an 04 key. this is the only feature i regret not having. those systems are great

 

You do bring up a interesting point there about the interior parts being black. I know most have realized the color of the boot. However I think both are with the sports package.

 

I doubt we'll be able to upgrade to the Intelligent Key System, only b/c you'd have to switch out the ignition, the front door handles (the Intelligent Key System equipped door handles have the small buttons for locking/unlocking), and of course the keyfob (which is essentially a radio frequency transmitter (RF)). Maybe you could upgrade, but it would probably cost an arm & a leg!! ;-) We have the Intelligent Key System on our '03 FX35...it's great!!! It's my wife's favorite feature on our FX.

Another good thing about the Intelligent Key System is that nice "beep" and "beep beep" people love and miss (another thread is active on this subject) is back with the Intelligent Key System when you lock/unlock the doors (at least it is with the FX so I assume it would be on the '05 G35 as well); it is similar sounding to the Lexus. It would be nice to have on the G35, but oh well ;-(.

I love it....much more sleek than the original, and the taillights are a wash. Both the old and the new are pretty cool. I think they just wanted to piggyback off the 2 door's popularity and try to make the line more congruent.

Anywho, the only thing I don't like are the new rims. They make the care look more old man-ish than it really is. Originals are better in that respect.

05 people should be pleased!

Bah!! They have totally effed up the sedan exterior. The coupe front-end sucks on the sedan, and the original tailights look much better than those round ones. I luv my LED's. I was thinking of trading for an '05, but Infiniti shot THAT right in the ***! Those wheels are pretty lame too. The original six spoke 17's look MUCH better.
