Why get a bike rack? If you go mountain biking your bike WILL get dirty. Who wants to put their dirty bike inside their car?
Is that the front bumper spoiler you see in the dealership catalogs? Looks good. You don't have any other body extras installed do you? Reason I ask is I like that look and I am considering purchasing that spoiler.

I also like the look of a good quality bike rack atop a sports sedan.

yep that's the accessory front chin spoiler from infiniti. Came prepainted from the factory. I do not have ANY other body kit add ones except the M3 rear lip spoiler. It definitely sets your G sedan apart from the other G sedans.

That looks better and easier to remove bike from then the roof rack. I have a cheap Bell rack that uses straps to tie to the trunk. The bike moves around too much.

Thanks! I like them too! They are EXTREMELY high quality since they are OEM in Japan. They are very secure.

Oh really? even with the optional roof extender? Damn that sucks! And the coupe truck is small too...I guess your only option is the trunk mount ones or a hitch mount (much safer/more secure)

But then i have to have a hitch on the G which kills the look from behind....

When i need Utility, the G stays in the garage and i use this.

After 3 yrs of having a loaded up Yakima roof rack on my cars in Ithaca NY, I went to a hitch rack on the G for the simplicity. It holds my bikes perfectly and stays in the parking deck when I don't need it. Never lost a bike w/ my Yakima driving between GA and NY half a dozen times but did have 4 snowboards free themselves of the front mount at 70mph causing the entire car to suddenly feel very light. W/ just the 2 load bars it was really terrible on my '99 Prelude that I had down in GA and I never kept the rack on that car.

With my beloved Scott Spark on board:

Removed rack...not too terrible looking

The roof rack is a look that works ok for some cars but I'm just not a fan of it for entry level luxury cars. Feel the same way when I see unused Thule's on the roofs of BMW 3 series. Subarus seem to pull it off ok but it's just not worth the roof damage and loss of mileage. I spend 90% of my time riding on the road these days so the rack doesn't get a whole lot of use. Biggest issue using the G to haul bikes is getting in/out of gravel lots w/ too many dips.

I get what your saying mishap, but the rack is removable, the hitch is not.

And to be perfectly honest, i kinda like the look of the roof rack. if i had to haul **** in my car, thats definatly the way i'd go.

+1 to how they hook on.
