Coupe mid pipe with no muffler.

I finally got around to putting on my new mid pipe to finish my exhaust. So now Im running no muffler, and the middy. The only thing is I seem to have lost ALOT of power. I never noticed this when I got the muffler delete only just after I put on the mid pipe. Any one else experience this with there mid pipe? Would I maybe gain some power back if i installed a new muffler?

you shouldn't have much of a performance difference with just midpipes.

You need backpressure, I would install a muffler back on, you must of lost all your bottom end.

You've lost your low end torque by deleting the muffler. You've also shifted the power curves to favor the upper end of the RPM range.

On a dedicated race car this is great because they spend so much time in the upper RPM range that the low of low end torque is never noticed.

On a typical street car, torque is what you want. The loss of all your low end torque is greater than the 5HP you gained near redline
