'04 G35x Wont Start?
My moms 2004 G35x with about 80,000 miles has been treating us well and running strong since we bought it at 25k miles. But Since yesterday it wont start for some reason. The battery is still good because the engine cranks like usual but it wont fire. I havent done any troubleshooting but I figured I would come on here to try and diagnose the issue.
I know all an engine needs to start is, fuel, air, and spark so maybe its one of those?
It has some fuel (not much) maybe about 1/8 of a tank but the low fuel warning light isnt on yet. I figured it cant be the fuel, and its not like the spark plugs just stop working over night.
Any help?
thanks

+1 on adding gas and trying again. Cheap test and should work.
It could be a little moisture in the fuel tank as well. Usually not a problem unless you are low on fuel, another reason to add some gas.
Next steps I'd look at depend upon the sound when trying to start. If it almost starts, but not quite, then you are likely getting some fuel to the engine. Check air and spark - clean air filter and spark plugs.
If it just cranks with no chance of kicking over, think fuel - filter or fuel pump. You might be able to hear the fuel pump turning on if you lift the rear seat.
I'm interested to know how you solve the problem. Good luck!
