Well unfortunately it isn't 2050 yet and we are yet to find out how to make paint that makes it's own design and texture.

 

Man I can't wait for 2050! Spray can full of microscopic nanobots that turn tiny particles of graphite into buckytubes and then weave them into a crazy strong version of carbon fiber, then after they're done a time buffered chemical turns the proteins that the nanobots are made out of into a polymer resin. The future is a crazy place.

I'm going to go a head and say he pried them out with a screwdriver. Judging by the cracked fin on the top one and the gouged trim piece on the second one.
