hit a VERY large pot hole, now rattles

So my car is pretty low to begin with and i hit this crazy dip in the road at a decent speed of like 25MPH. i was going 40 and i saw it and slowed down. Well either way it wasn't slow enough. It was a HARD hit to the car. I thought bent rims and flat tires type.

pulled over shortly after to inspect damage. small crack in bumper and no flat tire. But now the car rattles.

Car doesn't rattle in Park or Neutral. Only in Reverse and Drive and only at idle- 5mph. The rattle inside mainly. I drive my hand on the shifter and i feel the vibration thru the shift and only the shifter. It feels either middle of the car or pass side. Nothing towards the driver's.

While the car is in motion it is normal no vibration or rattle. But once at a light it is felt since i'm at a stand still.

What do you guys think it is? Right now i'm leaning towards the Y pipe sheild or something towards those lines. Its not a god awful type of noise. Just a noise simliar to me putting a couple of small nuts and bolts on top of the engine cover and hearing it vibrate softly.

I'm taking off the wheels over the weekend to inspect for bends and to remove my coilover for the winter, so while the car is up in the air i wanted to get ideas of what else to look at.

since my issue isn't found in park or neutral, I think it has to do with like mounts or the y-pipe. something is loose any thoughts on this?

I am guessing exhaust. You must have knocked something out of wack and its banging or hitting something. Just take a look at it once you get it into the air and see what the issue might me.

could have bent your rim or knocked it out of balance/camber

no sir that doesn't not seem possible as the issue is at a stand still and not present while in motion. a bent rim isn't a problem sitting there.

*sighs* taking them off sunday morning.

found out the issue, seems to be a couple of small branches got lodged into the spot where the Y would meet. one was resting off the pass side which made the most rattles.

I now have a smooth, silent car but its full of body roll =/

i would contact the town/city highway department to have their insurance pay for the damages.
