Break-in period questions

I see a lot of posts on this subject and I understand the basic mechanical reasons as to why you need to 'take it easy' for the first 1200 miles. I also see a lot of discussion on how the computer 'remembers' your driving habits/style. Can anyone elaborate on how the break-in period might be related to this 'memory' issue. The book says not to drive for extended periods at the same speed (fast or slow). I get the sense that this could somehow mislead the computer into thinking that you're primarily a highway driver and then it would not adapt correctly for city driving. But what if you are? And how poorly would it affect non-highway performance? And why is this especially important during the first 1200 miles? Is that timeframe supposed to model your real driving habits so that it will be properly 'tuned' for you when the 1200 is up? Truth is most of us are waiting to bust it open after 1200. (Did I ask enough questions?)

Re: Break-in period questions

For now bro don't worry about the computer's 'memory'. Just focus on proper break-in, according to the manual. Once you get broken in, the computer quickly readapts to your driving style. There is a way to do this instantly by disconnecting the battery, but wait 'till your all broken in first then perhaps you can think about 'reprograming'.
Don't be confused by all the talk of computers and memory and break-in and such. Nothing to worry about now bro..
Enjoy your new ride.. and welcome to G35 Driver...

I believe that the brakes also "learn" as you go, to differentiate between emergency and non-emergency braking.
