I did the door panel DIY and no luck

Referring here to the ticking/rattling driver's door on my '06 G35X...
My friend and I took off the door panel. There was no moisture barrier as in the DIY video. On my car there is a solid black steel panel, quite heavy duty looking. It would have been a ton of work to get it off. Tons of metric looking bolts. We were able to roll the winodw down and through a couple of holes, we were able to see and get at the suspect loose bolts that are shown in the pictures and in the DIY video and they were both on so extremely tight, there's no way they were rattling anything. They were so tight we couldn't budge them off when we tried. We left that all the way it is and we put the thickest foam weatherstripping on EVERY part of the door panel and on every wire we could see so nothing would be rubbing. We also used electrical tape to tape down wire harnesses. We did so much work and did not leave any possible piece of contact left untreated. It's still ticking. I am so aggravated. I don't know what else to try. Any others out there have another idea? Thanks

Its not that the bolts are loose, the bolts are too long. The length causes the issue not the tightness. You need to order the new correct bolts or cut off a sliver of the old bolts.

I believe in 06 this problem was fixed.. the tsb is for 03-05, it is a possibility that you could still have the issue, but the screws you tried to loosen or what not, what color are they?

The old ones are Black with a washer, while the new ones are silver with a locking washer built in as well as a few MM shorter.

Does this rattling stop when the window is lowered?

Edit: I see you said Drivers door, I am not aware of a drivers door TSB or rattling for that matter, the info I stated above is referring to the rear door/window rattling tsb.

Take off the pannel and drive with it off, see if you still hear rattling, then start piecing it back together. If you push on a certain part of the door does it stop?

So What's going on with the bolts when they are too long? Are they rubbing/hitting on something? Screensavers, I believe the bolts were a brass color, definitely not black. The rattling is there when window is shut as well as when I rolled it down about 4". I didn't drive with the window completely down, but 4" open was the same noise. When I drive on the highway it seems worse. Then again at this point it's so intermittent I can't keep track! When we took the door panel off I took it for a ride without the panel on and didn't hear a thing so I thought ah ha! It's the panel. But then when I put it back on I didn't hear a thing either, UNTIL I hit the highway, then tick tick tick tick started. So all my diagnostic listening seems a moot point because when I think I hear a pattern I get proved wrong again. What's weird is the armrest is on really tight, screws are in there good, yet SOMETIMES I think when I give my armrest a shove it seems to stop temporarily. I swear this has become the worst aggravation because now I'm obsessed with it. it's like Chinese water torture at this point. You know how it goes, you WANT it to stop so bad!!!!!

Will the dealer supply the bolts for free under the tsp or is there a cost?

Bolts cost me less than a dollar each at the dealer.

Similar problem and i have brought it in to service to have a look and 4 times they have said they cant identify the problem/ it didnt occur when they checked. check the glass... I just noticed the other night that while my glass was half down, that it was rocking just a little bit from front to back... i have had this problem for a while now, and i think i just discovered the problem... I also had problem with the automatic window. It would work about 95% of the time, but there was that 5% which was just annoying. Havent had time to fix it yet. WIll post when i get a chance

Well you might have an different issue, the window rattling..ect stops immediately once you roll down the window any amount, So the TSB wont really help you, since they are for the rear windows and the sound stops when the window is rolled down.

Roll with the Panel off for a bit, try to pinpoint the location of the noise.

What exactly is the issue with the bolts when they're too long? What is happening with the longer bolts that causes the rattle? Can anyone answer? I've posted this question before but it keeps getting missed.
Thanks

Not sure why, but the shorter bolts stopped the rattling in my rear windows. Maybe they hold the regulator tighter??
