Had a bad day today with my G35x. Went to my garage (valet parking) and as I went to get my car, I noticed that the car was parked very close to the wall. They have a tire on the wall to avoid "accidents" and my rear bumper was entirely up against the tire where teh bumper was compressed a bit. As I pulled out, the compression wasn't releasing itself. That pissed me off. The manager wasn't in so I have to wait til Monday.

NEXT ... I drove to FedEx to pick up a package and pulled into their parking lot. As I left the parking lot, I was reversing out and I couldnt see where the entrance part was. Basically, the front left of my car was coming off the curb and as I came off ... the front bumper hit the curb and tore the front bumper OFF! It tore right under the clearance light like it was paper. couldnt believe it. Monday morning going to my mechanic to get him to fix it. *sigh* Not a good day.

Sorry to hear that man. Keep your head up it can be repaired - hope you documented the garage thing though, because if you left without documentation, pictures or something documenting the damage, it ends up being your word against theirs. That when they like pointing to the "not responsible for damages" sign almost every garage has posted somewhere. But since it's valet service you should have some remedies, but you need supporting evidence.

thanks guys. the valet one is gonna get taken care of tomorrow with the manager. i have another one of the valets as my witness. so shouldnt be a problem.

also bringing it in tomorrow to get it fixed. hopefully it can get fixed by this week. i just dont want to look at it anymore. i went out to dinner last night and had to valet my car at the restaurant ... it was just so painful to see it as the valet drove it away.

what do u guys think ... $500 ... new stock front bumper (painted and installed) or $2300 oem aero kit (painted and shipped). what do u guys think?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. But as you noted, perhaps you can find that silver lining and go for a bumper upgrade!
