I live in northeast Ohio and we have been getting slammed with snow and I have to say I am about the only one on the freeway that can go the speed limit on the freeway (when I find an opening anyway) without the slightest fear of anything..
Also with snow mode and vdc, I cannot even feel the snow between lanes, it just goes like there is no snow there..
I had a couple close calls in previous awd vehicles, but this thing is ridiculous! Talk about a renewed feeling of invincability...Anyone else think this is one of the best awd systems available?

Props to NE Ohio. I'm from the buckle of the snowbelt. My parents still live there and have been saying they are getting dumped on. I live at about 5000 ft up in ski country in Utah. I wish we were getting slammed. The ski resorts are hurting. This past weekend i headed up the mountain in my X and with several inches of snow and slush I was moving confidently up the canyon roads. The x does awesome in the snow even with all-seasons, but several inches of slush made things a little squirrely. I’m thinking of getting Michelin x-ice xi2’s for next winter. Thing should be on rails then.

Interesting to know..
I do think about that..lol. I just plan on having to veer into the grass between the freeway and the express lanes if something happens too fast.. should bring me to a pretty fast stop with little damage.. but yeah, that invincibility could result in bad news

Sometimes I wish I would've gotten an X, but I have to have a manual.
Even with only RWD, I was able to get around in 3" of snow yesterday (hills and all) with my Winterforces. Possibly the best $400 I've spent. Once it gets over 5", I start struggling.
If there was only a way I could rock AWD and keep my manual...

But I'm with you 6MT is a must have.
my G doesn't exactly feel like superman in chicago winters but its the only AWD car i've own. 2 other cars, 5speed LSD 200sx and a auto maxima. the G does feel better then both.
maybe when i put on some decent tires or SNOW tires it would feel better. I have great thread on these 4 mis-match tires that came with the car so i'm using those.

Never had AWD before. Had LSD on a RWD Ford Aerostar which was good in snow. I now have Conti ExtremeWinter Contacs on my G35x. This is the best snow car Ive ever had. Beats my '72 Volks SB and all the FWD cars I've ever owned.
My car has been getting around great in the snow here over the past few weeks. I usually don't even need 'snow mode', but have turned it on a few times just to see what it was like. Not sure what type of tires I have (probably all-season), but they seem to work pretty well.
I haven't had any previous AWD cars, but did own a 4x4 Explorer and F-150. The Explorer had a pretty solid setup and never gave me any problems. The F-150's system is a total piece of junk and should be recalled by Ford.
