i just got off the phone from kearny mesa infiniti and the sale manager told me that i dont need to worry about the tranny flush and differential change until 60k miles. the only thing he mentioned that would porbably need inspection would be the incabin filter since he had no history on that.
i have read throughout the forum that tranny flush and differential change should be done at 30k correct? just confused a bit on exactly what should be performed.

but what do you guys think?

 

I did my diff's at 40K and the rear was dirty fluid.

Trans fluid..i would prefer to do it prior to 60K...at least a drain and flush. Doesn't hurt to overmaintain.

Cabin air filter should be done...but it's not something you need a dealer to do. Autozone sells them for $15 or so and it takes literally 15 mins to change yourself behind the glovebox. Dealer quoted me $190 to replace this part. I just do it each spring before the pollen starts to fly and i'll need my A/C for the summer.

 

the cabin i will do, ive seen the DIY and i dont think its worth spending 100+ on this service, i guess i can always spend a few extra bucks and just keep things sleek and clean. thanks for the info

 

There is also a DIY on how to change the diff fluid, might want to look into it.

 

Rear diff is very easy to do on your own either. Auto parts stores will sell the pump you need. 1 hour and done for cost of fluids and initial cost of pump/drain pan and jackstands if you don't have that stuff.

 

yea im planning on doing these on my own and will purchase jacks from craigslist

 

Imo Belts,Tranny Fluid, Diff Fluid, Coolant flush, Incabin and Engine Air Filters.

for 30k

Preventative maintenance, always a good idea.

 

If iy you really want to be complete, bleed the brakes, and do a turkey baster drain and refill of the power steering fluid.

 

belts? does the G use belts or a chain? i know nissans use chains.

Have you ever looked under the hood of your car?

BTW your car is Lakeshore Slate, not Blue Slate, IMO the best color ever on a G . Might want to update your sig.
