Will a OEM 05-06 Sedan Muffler fit on an 03 Sedan?

As the thread says, will it fit?

I know they are two different Mufflers. I believe the 05-06 may be larger than the other as well. I also think the 05-06 only has 1 hanger near the tips and one on the other end, whereas the 03 has two near the tips and three total hangers.

Will it fit and not make any rattling sounds with only two hangers?

Thanks.

No. Look for 03-04 only. Best of luck getting the muffler off the hangers, its fun times.

The 05 mufflers don't sound as good as the 03/04. Why do you want one?

That's not true it does fit. You need a custom hanger.

The 05/06 muffler looks better than 03/04. The tips look better and are angled differently.

A lot of 05/06 owners swap for 03/04 actually. I was reading about it since I accidentally bought an 05 thinking it would be a direct bolt-on my 03.

I wish someone would sell me their 03-04 muffler. I've tried off and on for 8 months to find one.

Def hit me up. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot, but am very curious to see how it sounds compared to my muffler.

^ too bad you're not local lol i'd show up with my muffler and you with your midpipe haha but i heard of guys running mufflerless temporarily, we could probably ship each other at the same time and when i get the midpipe install it with an aftermarket muffler and the HR Y pipe i got sitting in the garage, let me know

I'm keeping the sedan mid initially so I'm just looking to buy a muffler. I want to hear it on with both midpipes. DaveB is sold on the 05 SM and 03-04 muffler. Right now I'm running my stock muffler with the CM and it sounds cool.

Who knows what the future will bring though, I keep changing lots of things up to keep the car fresh.
