2003-2004 G Sedan OEM Sport package Tires question

Hi, for 2003-2004 G Sedan OEM Sport package Tires, what is the brand, name, and speedrating, etc? I heard was Goodyear GSA? someone verify this? is that for both years OEM Sport package tires.... and why is the Goodyear GSA better than the standard Bridgestone Turanza EL42? (same size)

thx.

yes, the 5 (five) spoke ones.
You bought from dealer new and it came with hancook?
I am trying to determine what brand/name was on those wheels originally from factory...

They've been changed then.

OEM tires are either the Goodyears or the Bridgestone's. I wanna say the bridgestones came on the sport

I think that's probably correct. I'm non-sport and my spare is a Goodyear.

OEM tire on the '04 sport was the Turanza EL42. do not use this same tire again. they are terrible. also 215/55/17 has limited options, many on here go with 225/50 or 235/50.

check the TECH section, Tires & Wheels. lots of good info in there.

From the manufacturer it came:
- The non-sport comes with Bridgestone Turanza EL42 (all season standard touring tire) and the sport comes with Goodyear Eagle GS-D (ultra high performance summer tire). Both are the same size 215/55/17. I am positive. I bought my car new in 04. The grip is day and night difference between the two.

To clarify:
-The 6 spoke (non-sport) came with either Good Year Eagle RSA or Bridgestone Turanza EL42. Pretty much same tire. Standard all season touring tire.

-The 5 spoke (sport) came with Good Year Eagle GS-D. Ultra High performance Summer with 20,000mi tread life. Majority of them have been replaced with less expensive Kumho or Hankook tires due to the fact that they cost around $250 each and they have a short life span.

-If you purchased your car with any other tire than the above 3 mentioned, then someone changed them out.

Hope that clears some confusions.

Thumbs up

My car came right off the showroom floor with the Goodyear GS-D (ultra high performance tires). I have an 04 6mt sedan. As soon as any little bit of snow hit the ground they were the equivalent of driving on hard plastic slicks. I could see why a car bought new in Canada might not have come with them.

plugging in your make model and year of your car into tirerack's site will get you a bunch of options in the correct speed/safety rating for you.
