I hit 6000 miles as of today. I purchased my G in March of '03. I don't have anywhere to commute so those are simply "pleasure" miles.

Hmmm... I thought they didn't start shipping the 2003.5 till early 2003 (?)
Got mine new with 3 Km (1.8mi) May 28'03 ---now has 31,000 Km (19,260 mi). I use mine for company business.

My build date is 08/02. I think they started building the 2003.5 in 07/02.
