I am newbie.
What is the NISMO package? I have been reading in the posts about NISMO but have no clue what it is?
Can someone help me out on the details of NISMO package?
How much does it cost? Is it installed at INIFINITI delaers or is it an aftermarket package?

NISMO is just Nissan's performance department. Like TRD for Toyota, Mugen for Honda, AMG for Mercedes....

Most of the Nismo parts for the sedan have to be imported from 3rd party companies, since for the most part Nismo only offers 350z stuff here in the states.

As the previous poster said, NISMO is the high performance subsidiary of Nissan, which designs and produces various "factory authorized" performance and cosmetic additions and upgrades for Nissan & Infinit cars.

The NISMO "package" most often mentioned is a full aerodynamic kit for the car, with a different front air dam and bumper, side skirts, and a rear spoiler and bumper/airdam assembly. It cost $2,500-$3,000, and can be installed by the dealer.

I think illg35 (for one) has the full kit on his - search for his page and check out the photos.

Also a side note i just learned from Mossy Nissan. Only Nismo products that are Type S are covered by Nissan's Warrenty, Type R Nismo Products will Void Warrenty.

Type S - Being Street Mods
Type R - Being Racing Mods (track etc...)

actually

the factory aero isnt call the Nismo kit.... its not part of the Nismo line up at all. its part of the Nissan Accessories catalog or Infiniti... kinda like the A-Spec kit in Acura differents from Mugen kit.

i just kept calling it the Nismo kit during the early years of the G35 was out and the kit was used on Nismo's demo cars. so i guess everyone just kept follow me and say this is the Nismo kit.

but anyways, lets just keep calling it the Nismo kit

 

On Nismo;s site they do have the full kit for the Coupe and Sedan, they are Nismo kits!

The Aerodynamic body kit is the Nismo kit. Why do all the haters dispute that?

Thanks to all off you for responding and clearing my doubts.
I have one more question. Is the NISMO kit worth the $3000, will it improve the performance? If YES, by how much any numbers or stats to prove it?

The Nismo kit is cool but probably not $3000 worth of cool. $3000 will buy you quite a bit of go fast goodies.

My car was a full option car with the Nismo kit shipped to the dealer. Since it was getting late in the '03 model year, I was able to negotiate the price down quite a bit. This negated the bite of the Nismo kits cost.

Had it not been on the car I probably wouldn't have added it to the car. In the end I am glad I bought my car instead of another as the Nismo kit looks much better than the without.

I orginaly ordered it with the car, but when my car came in, it was left off. So the dealership sold me the entire kit for $2100.00 which was suppose to be there cost. Shows you that make a nice profit on those kits.
