When i cold start my sedan it sounds like it knocks around 1500rpm, almost like a slight manifold leak, as the car heats up it knocks at lower rpm 1300-1200-1100 then goes away. it is not noticeable to anyone who dosent know alot about cars, my gf thinks im crazy,

Yes it has good clean oil, Yes i run preimum gas, Just wondering if anyone else has had something like this?

 

where exactly is the noise coming from? by the heads? timing chain?

do you drive an MT? if so, it may be the clutch/flywheel chatter which is common.

 

Im not sure where it is comming from, it does not do it at idle, just when the gas is depressed slightly on cold start up, id say it sounds like its comming from the bottom end on the driver side, Oh and its auto trans.
