So I'm sure I'm not the only one with an OB sedan.
Anyone been successful in dominating the swirls and getting a nice polish on the paint? I can't stand the look of a dull black.
This is definitely my LAST black car

I've got an appointment with my buddy who is a pro detailer in the spring.
I just think Nissan paint is too fragile. My other black car has a new aftermarket black paint job, it's it's just so much harder and durable. Nissan OB swirls if you look at it funny. My poor front bumper looks like hell after 50K mostly highway miles

Duuude I've got 150k on my poor OB sedan. The front bumper looks like a fat kid thought it was food and started pouring salt and pepper all over it. I really need a professional job... lets be honest here haha

Look through the detailing section. BO can be made to look great again and IMO doesn't require a pro, just the right tools and good technique.

LOL@the fat kid comment. You sound so much like my friend, wow.
_1 at checking out the detailing section. You should be able to find anything in there.

I have minimal swirls, I DD my car too.
You can either DIY Paint correction or you can pay someone.
nice and clean

56K on my OB and it looks alright. Front bumper is chipped a bit, but not terrible. It sucks the paint is soft and fragile but it is what it is. The good thing is most of the time, its easy to correct. Swirls and halograms are created by poor washing and drying practice. Handwashing with a soft wool mit, and dry with a microfiber drying cloth is the best method. If you must go to carwash, make sure its a touchless wash. Touchless shouldnt scratch/swirl the paint, but any protectants/wax will break down off the car.
I get two details a year and maintain the shine by hand washing the car. I'm well aware of the imperfections but a good detail should help hide them. I drive it in the winter and get a touchless wash or an indoor hand wash at least once a week.

PC and Menzerna FTW!
Definitely go check out the detailing section...it'll cost some money, but your OB (like mine) will love you eternally.

I have the same problem too, so many ****ing swirls!!
Didn't get a chance to do a proper detail before winter came
So now I'm just going to get it resprayed on a count of the ****ty swirls and the stupid little dings/scratchs. You guys should all be thankful you don't have Canadian winters.
