I hear ya. Winter is not a fun time to own a black car.

At least consider adding tint to the windows. DOes add to the look of the car.

That is awesome...I love the way that looks. If mine is also a 2006 G35x...does that mean it is Black Obsidian? Thanks!

And I am assuming since I don't have the bluetooth key or navigation, then I don't have a premium package...correct?

Thanks for your help. I bought the car from a shady car dealership, so I don't have a lot of info about it - but it does have a clean carfax.

Not exactly but if you have heated seats, dual A/C and auto-dimming/Homelink rear view mirror, then that's part of what's called premium package 'C' (at least that's how it is for the 03-04 sedans).

Here is a pic of the inside...it is a little dark, but the car is SO clean. There is one small scratch on the passenger seat that is about an inch long. It is white in color...not sure what to do about that...can't see it in the picture.

your car is a base model and not a prem.

fastest and easiest way to tell is look at the key, if you have a old school key then its a base. if you have a remote with a key inside of it then you have prem. all others can be added on and confusing but you can exactly add on a key system.

Well, this is the way it works for 2006 X's.

Navigation is only available if you get a Premium C model. But you can get the Premium B or C package and not get NAV. The difference is C has the full size spare and B has the space saver spare. The premium package models come with Bose 6-disk, reclining rear seats, autodim mirror, easy entry seat and power tilt steering, 1-touch down on all 4 windows, bluetooth, homelink, dual climate control, sunroof, and auto on/off headlights.

Unfortunately from the pic you posted, i can see you don't have a "DUAL" button on your climate control. That means you don't have a premium package mode. Your's is a base model. Heated seats are standard, so is the 6-disk CD player, but it's not a BOSE radio (won't say BOSE under the INFINITI) emblem. You'll also notice only the front two windows are 1-touch down.

One option that most base models come with is the sunroof though, but the standard G35x base model does not have a sunroof...but the vast majority come with it. I've only seen one '06X that didn't have a sunroof and that was posted by a member here last year. Very rare i would think....prob a special order (no idea why)

This site gives you a good breakdown of the available packages for '06

http://www.automotive.com/2006/12/in...ges/index.html

And BTW, the name of the interior color is Graphite. Very sharp BTW.

I have Stone in mine...which is a light grey color.

Thank you for your help! I'm quite happy with my "base" model...it's a far cry from the 1998 BMW 528i that I had before.

Yeah, base is a poor word to use. A base model G has more stuff standard than some equipped cars. I hate using the word "base" because it sounds like a putdown
