Car is not able to be repaired, I need to get rid of it

$4-5K sounds like a good starting point. Fish it on CL for a while and see what you get. Just be warned some of these flippers are extremely shady. Send them pics and talk on the phone with them before letting them come by and make sure they understand the asking price. They'll come down with $800 and a tow truck and literally demean you into selling them the car right there and then.
Hell, i hate it when i sell a running car on CL and some used car salesman calls up "helping his buddy find a car" At the end of those phone calls they make you feel embarrassed to be asking any more than $500 for any sort of car...even if it's a perfectly good $10K car. I used to hang up once I found out they were salesmen.
Actually, don't use craigslist. Toss it on Ebay with a $4K reserve. Just be aware of the Ebay fees and such before hand.

i have used CL every time i sold anything, u just got to know not to accept paypal/checks or any wire transfer. CASH only.. dont feel bad for meeting weird people.. just some people want real good deals and they are just retarded, ignore those because there are many cool people i have come across.

yep been there done that. i tried to sell my dad's 94 camry in good runnining condition. car looked ugly nothing crazy in terms of rust for $800 because i wanted a FAST sale, **** come out with $400 and i told them to get a stepping. Because i know if i wanted to play that game i would of listed for $1500 and sold it for $1000. I just wanted something quick and easy.
sell the car for $4000 reserve, also suggest selling smaller parts if you can on here. floor mats. swap wheels. sell engine cover. its nit picking but still a little more money in your pocket.

Damn that is pretty bad. That sucks, but i agree with the others do a $4000 reserve on it and call it a day but you can also make alot of people happier on here if your were to part it out . If you were doing that can i call the drivers side mirror, rear passenger door and possibly the trunk lid? lol
