^Not really. Maaaaaybe, if you got really creative and did something custom, but even that is doubtful.
If you go with a CAI, don't expect to make power, only noise. Most CAI on these cars don't net any HP, and those that do are pricy and don't add much.
Not like a Mustang or F-Body where you can bolt-on 5, 10, 15+ HP with cheap simple stuff.

I like the CAI for improved fuel economy, Its the easiest fastest modification, I made a custom ramair for my Mustang, but ill check out the under clippings to see if its possible. Is there any unneeded weight I can trim off the car without sacrificing the luxury?

^I wouldn't hold my breath on improoved fuel economy either. I think I probably lost some with mine :/.
As far as reducing weight, you could remove the spare and jack. Not many other things you could do without sacrificing atleast some luxury.. The hood is AL, so you won't even benefit much from CF.

But CAI's for Mustangs blow. It's more of a placebo mod as anyone who buys a car thinks it needs a CAI right off the bat. Half of them are metal so they get hot as hell under the hood and the other half put a big open filter element right in the engine bay inches from your hot headers. Best thing i ever did was toss that worthless CAI in the garbage and go back to the stock intake tube and box setup with a panel K&N filter.

I think I'll go the same route with the G35. Panel K&N and a Z-tube and call it a day. The stock airbox is sorta a ram air from the factory.

^ that's a very common route with members on here. the Ztube/KN panel filter, with OEM airbox (or OEM revup box) is a great intake configuration. simple, cheap, and it doesn't look like something you'd see in a honda civic. nice 'n clean looking.

5/16" Motordyne plenum spacer. 10-12 rwhp gain and my mileage has been significantly better since the install
