Same in TN. Being that i got all 4 sides rolled, he did it for $150.

Then I ended buying the roller and heat gun for $200. Cause I had two other buddies that needed a roll.

OP: I say roll them.

everything
When you say cut do you mean cutting the lip right off? Cuz thats what I was considering for the rears. Then you have the 2 layers of sheet metal that are no longer spot welded together. I asked a few shops about this but the ballpark was $300-400. They either have to weld the seam back together or use body panel adhesive.

Rolling flares out the sheet metal which I think look tacky if done too much, but if its gotta be done, its gotta be done.

Im still on the fence what Im gonna do. Im waiting on my wheels to get here so I guess Ill see how bad it is once theyre on the car.

like i said.... if you just cut the lip off you're separating the two 1/4 panel skins leaving it open to elements and faster corrosion. THe correct way is to weld the panel back together and possible respray of both 1/4s

ive cut them before on a buddies car. as long as you're careful its a pretty easy job. Used an angle grinder to get close then a dremel then some fine sand paper. Prime/Paint when you're all finished. If you do it right, you shouldnt have to paint any of the visible exterior. Its a good half days work, but its worth it.

There is no reason to cut them. Just roll them.

Cutting was easier in my case. No cash invested and a great finished product - cant complain. It's not for everyone tho.

Rolling is > than cuttin in every aspect. And if you want to roll your fender after you cut them GL it's extremely hard to do. It takes less time, you fender maintains more structural integrity and unless you're getting ripped off it is cheaper. Also most shops will refuse to shave your lip completely flat still leaving you with a lip that will cut your tire is you so choose to run a flush setup in the future. You can always do a mild to aggressive roll.

Havent tried rolling. We thought cutting would be a heck of a lot faster than buying/fabbin up a fender roller (in a garage 50 miles away from the nearest shop). It worked for us... just my .02

damn, reading all this makes me paranoid about my cut job that I did myself.... I've never even seen a cut fender before, but no patience and a dremel nearby = cut fenders...
I did seal it up really well with automotive silicone, but now all your guys' comments are making me a little worried..... I haven't touched my fronts yet, I'm hoping a stiff suspension set up should do the trick

here's some pictures, is this fine or too much ??

I wouldnt be paranoid if i were you. The cuts look good, nice and straight. Feel along the cut lip all cut surfaces should be smooth to the touch.

Check your tires to see if there are any signs of fender/rubber contact. No contact = no problem.

i had my fenders rolled and the guy that did it for me put slashes in the lip so it dosent bend the outside and the rolled it flat and he charged me 80 for all the work he spent 2 hours on them and it looks nice but i have seen pics of other people who have them rolled and i dont see no slashes.....makes me paranoid...ill go and ask him if he can seal it up with some silicone so that i dont get rust...
