Get the VIN# and call Infiniti to check the service records, and also check the oil consumption issue.

Call the Infiniti dealership near you, talk to the service department, and tell them you will bring the car in for service after you buy it, thus you'd like to know what major fixes and TSB's that have been done to the car, especially the rev-up oil consumption and other powertran issues. If they don't tell you just call another dealership, keep trying until you get answers.

I called up palm springs infiniti and they say the car hasnt been at a infiniti dealership since 2005. Sounds like the previous owner didnt have any issues!

those look like Sevas s7's which have a history of cracking. The car is moded, and the dealership knows that brings the value of the car down. at 2005 and 75k, and it's moded, I believe the car is overpriced.

You would think they would dress up the engine bay before selling!

I was iffy on the price too. The car is very clean for the miles that are on it and I would have wanted to add the wheels and lip anyways. I can see how it lowers the value for the average customer so i'm going to try and use that excuse and see if I cant get another $1000 off the cost of the car.

As for the engine bay being dirty, it seems like a pretty slack dealership...

I hope that's the case. Double check with Riverside Infiniti. You don't want to get stuck with those issues when you're getting a rev-up 6mt G without warranty, even though it might seem to be a good deal. Read the stickies on this site and you'll know more about those issues.

very clean and mods might be a good thing, since you know the owner loved his car and took care of it. If anyone were to ever buy my sedan they'd be one lucky SOB because I take care of my ride.

but it is a revup and it is a warranty.....that would worry me.

i would say try to use the mods towards your benefit and get a lower price, and try to get them to fully detail it also
