Brake dust!!!

If i even look at my car the wrong way it gets brake dust like mad!!! its driving me crazy!! I spend 3 hrs cleaning my wheels spotless one day and within a week they looked un touched!! what pads should i use to keep my braking the same or even imporved without dust!! backs are good.... fronts are BAD, even considered going to black wheels!!

the oem pads are notoriously soft and produce massive break dust. I switched to Hawk HP pads and have never looked back. They produce maybe 15% of the brake dust my oem pads used to kick up

I put on Wagner Thermo Quiet and have noticed a giant difference in the amount of brake dust

ceramic pads leave less dust

you can also try some silicone wheel spray at oreillys/autozone. its made for wheels and doesnt harm your wheels or make em look glossy.

Kinda sorta works, makes em easier to clean. The brake dust basically either slips off the silicone or sticks to it which makes it easier to clean later.

I have SS ceramic pads from NAPA, the tiny bit of dust they generate is so light, you cant really see it anyway.

1st gen sedans have to make a choice.

OEM pads = good cold brake performance and dust

Aftermarkets = worse cold brake perfromance but less dust

Or upgrade to the 05+ brakes and have oem pads, less dust and excellent cold brake performance.

I honestly couldn't tell the difference from OEM and EBC pads and rotors.

Sure im not a pro driver, but it made me feel better to spend the extra money

So basically the wagner thermo quiet are your best bet for the least amount of brake dust produced?

The Wagners are good and cheap. They have very little dust but have less initial bite than the OEM brakes.
