"X" drivetrain in a coupe

just wonderin if anyone out there has tried this/running this setup. awd gg35 coupe sounds tasty

Would be interesting.

But i can't help but wonder that for the price of the coupe and the parts car you'll need...that you could just go out and buy a G37x coupe

all you'd need i think would be a totaled g35x. just use the tranny, driveshaft, and rear end. and of course a coupe donor car. would be nice if someone did this

You'll need to swap the front suspension over as well. Slightly different to allow for the halfshafts.

I wonder if the coupe has the physical space underneath it to mount a transaxle?? I knows it's the same chassis, but the sheetmetal could be slightly different.

Possible need to swap the front cradle/engine support as well.

Plus you'd need to swap all the electronic controls and such as well

Wouldn't really make much sense to do that with a coupe.
A RWD coupe weighs more than an equally equipped RWD sedan. sooo

It does make sense with the Z though, because it IS lighter.

Actually, it would be a lot easier to put the coupe front end on the sedan
