i got so lucky my driver side tires didn't get effed up .. only the lip suffered but is fixed now .. i had the guy check the tires as well .. wouldn't hurt but he told me everything looked pretty good ... I'm a lucky one .. but i think some of our TAX MONEY should go to junk A$$ roads and stuff instead of other stuff they got going on lol !!

 

 

oh ya i have my stock rims with the almost bald tires on now new tires tomorrow 285/35/19

I think any rim with a LIP will be more susceptible to damage. The tire took a lot of the hit... 245/35/19 on a 8.5" wide rim. So decently beefy. My rear rim was fine. 9.5 with 275/35/19.

HAHA yeah...I was glad I went a little thicker with the tires.

 

I've cracked a Mugen wheel before... it didn't have a lip like that.

 

yea my fronts are 8.5 with 245/35 and they were fine but i went with a 265/30 rear and i think if i had the 35 in the rear i would have been ok but i dont no for sure cause i hit the hole pretty bad .. i think i nipped the hole with my front but my rears went right in the middle !! but I'm lucky the tire didn't blow ....

 

oh damn dude, that sucks. i had the same problem with my old Volk LE37T - being forged didn't help... my car was on jackstands for 2 weeks...

 

yea i still have my oem wheels but no tires on them and i was like daem what am i going to do so i called a buddy of mine and got in at a local shop ahead of alot of other cars to get mine done asap .. it was only in the shop for a few hours !!

 

damn i ran over a few huge ones that have been popping up all around new jersey luckily i didnt get any bends or bubbles

haha and i hate nj roads even when its not the winter there is always something that shouldnt be flying flying at your car
