Not to steal the spot light from the OP, but did anyone try the advance auto parts filter called Purolator? I know they don't make it, but has anyone tried that one?

It's cheap and they have it in stock for about $11 w/ tax. Beats having to wait for shipping and cheaper than most out there.

I just bought one from the local Napa Auto Parts. It was $16. Not of the highest quality, but I was already in the store picking up a few other items. I figured if I had waited to order one online, it would have been another 20K miles.
It only took me 10 minutes and if I had known it was that easy, I would have done it long ago. For some reason I thought I was going to take the wheel off and go in through the wheel well. Lysol is a good idea though...

See Karma's 'weak stomach' thread in the Cdn section for a link to the DIY, Raja. Short answer: through the glove compartment, but there are a few steps to go through. It's not hard, I've done mine.

EDIT: nm, here it is...for a sedan, though. Coupe should be similar, just didn't readily find one specifically for the coupe.

Holy crap! I need to check mine. Living on a dirt road CAN'T be good for it. I'll probably change it right after all this freaking pollen calms down.

I wish I saw that sooner! I was looking for carbon replacements, got fed up because of the price and slapped a regular one in there. Thanks!
