ALL THIS TALK ABOUT THE 2005 IS MAKING ME JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Based on what I'm reading, the 2005s will be no quicker than the current models. The horsepower is up, but the torque is down and torque determines 0-60/quarter mile times. Looks like the car is changing for the sake of hp ratings. The new tail lights look lame (everybody's got round lights now) and the new hood looks boring. Front bumper looks no different than the aero option on current models. I'm perfectly happy with my '04 6MT and I like the looks of my car much better than the '05.

I may get more excited about the '07/'08, but it doesn't seem like a big deal for '05.

Also the 05's have a weight increase which will slow it down a little.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what the actual test times are. I love what I've got already though.

But too many people would concentrate too much on number that is shown on paper. 298>280>260. Plus, torque has not been decreased, the 6sp version still has 260lb-ft of torque which is the same as any 03/04 G35 sedan, only the 05 5AT gets 270lb-ft of torque is that right?

I like the new look of the exterior, but not the interior. Still no projector HIDs, I'm not that jealous.
