Major Knocking on my 04

Well lets see the day before yesterday i noticed a slight knocking at idle when i parked my car, the next morning on start up the knock was there again then seemed to go away. Well i drove to the store and when i parked the knock was there again, when i left the store it started to knock extremely loud and had some sort of sqeaul too. I imediatly pulled over and shut it down. I got it towed home and drained and filtered the oil, pulled the filter off and took the filter apart, I found very few metal shavings when i did that. I then dropped the lower oil pan, that was loaded with metal shavings and a few flat pieces of metal that were like 1/16 big. I dont know , in my oppinion i think i spun a rod bearing. Please feel free to leave what u think. I appolagise in advance for being so long and my poor spelling.

Yes i do believe oil consumption is a factor to it, but i usually stay on top of it and check it regulary and add as needed. It was full when i checked the oil this morning when i first heard the knock.

I'm that would be rod knock and yes, your engine went **** up. The problem is you probably circlulated all that junk though the motor and ruined the whole thing.

Time to look for a good used motor and get it replaced. Nice time for headers. hehe
