2005 6MT Sedan Redline

The redline for 6MT 2005 G35 has been raised to 7000rpm!!!

Check it out:
http://www.nissannews.com/

go to Infiniti, then 2005 G35 Sport sedan, and click on Specs.

Re: 2005 6MT Sedan Redline

Interestingly:

Horsepower
AT: 280 hp @ 6,200 rpm
MT: 298 hp @ 6,400 rpm

Torque
AT: 270 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm
MT: 260 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm

It sounds like they put in higher lift cams to raise HP. Of course a new ECU will also be required. Based on the pictures, I think the exhaust will be the same. Thus, for upgrades for 03, I think we're out of luck as replacing cams and ECU will be costly.

This was a VERY interesting find, the lower torque figure on the 6MT. Here's the URL:

So it sounds like the 6MT's are getting variable valve timing on the exhaust side as well and thus the uprated HP figures. It'll be interesting to see some stock dynos on these 05 models.
