brake/rotor question

so im wondering, if i upgrade my brakes to different than oem and get slotted rotors, would this improve braking more than stock?

i have brembos that i deciding to put on, but would just aftermarket non brembo slotted rotors plus brakes be almost as good?

Pad material makes a bigger difference than slots in the rotor.

Slotted rotors do help by "wiping" brake dust from the surface, but don't expect a difference in performance.

Significant braking gains come from increased rotor size, more clamping force from calipers or a more aggressive pad compound

are you having second thoughts about the Brembo's? 'cause i could really use those on my Wife's car, LOL. yeah, for panic stops and daily driving, OEM & Brembo are the same. Brembo will only give you more pedal feel and fight brake fade batter under stress. also Brembo will offer more high performance 2pc rotor upgrades, all alot more expensive though. plus Brembos look way better. yeah, tires are also key to getting the most out of ur setup as well

Performance and DD wise, the Brembos have no significant advantage over the 05-06 brakes. They are mostly for looks and if you track your car, they can fight off brake fade slightly better when pushing it to the limits in track use.

I have the stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads with stainless lines on my 05 and they are plenty of stopping power even with heavy 20's.
