^Open your drivers side door. There's a sticker at the bottom right (bottom of the pillar the back door hangs on)

It will have the build date of your car on it.

I found this

http://www.mibz.com/10807-infiniti-g...-problems.html

The problem affects only G35 Sedan models produced between 2005 and 2006, and G35 Coupe produced between 2005 and 2007. The models with problems were sold in Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, South Korea, Taiwan and the Middle East. This problem will be solved by replacing a seats connector which leading to airbags.

The problem that can be aggravated by severe vibration and also by the passengers who is going up and down in the vehicle.
Basically..stop getting laid in the passenger seat

^ I have no idea that article says
The Japanese from Nissan announced they will organize a recall for Infiniti G35 models in United States of America.
Then
The models with problems were sold in Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, South Korea, Taiwan and the Middle East. This problem will be solved by replacing a seats connector which leads to airbags.
But Nissan has not said how they will be fixing it, That site is crap I would not believe anything they say.

The official word from NHTSA is that it covers G35 Sedans a coupes between certian dates. No where does it state its coupes and sedans sold in Canada, Puerto Rico..ect

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls...rue&refurl=rss

But time will tell when Nissan Lets us know the details.

Here is the official letter sent by nissan
http://nhthqnwws112.odi.nhtsa.dot.go...0V175-2629.pdf

This PDF states, if the airbag light is on in the cluster and or the air bag off light is on when a passenger is sitting then you have the problem happening already, if you do not have any of these issues, your air bag will function normally. The problem is to do with some connectors rubbing on each other over time, so when the Recall from nissan finally comes out you should get it fixed.

Nissan had a similar recall for 200,000 cars in 2008 for passenger ODS (Occupant Detection System) failures. BMW recalled 200,000 cars, Hyundai 400,000. It seems to me they should just have a sticker on the dash like in older cars that said something like, if you weigh less than 90 lbs or are short, don't sit here. Which would you rather have, an airbag that deployed with no one in the seat or a passenger with an airbag that didn't deploy?

I agree. It was the only place i found saying that. Doesnt seem credible anyway.

The issue with my pass airbag is it NEVER shuts off. Even if there isn't anyone sitting in the seat, the airbag off light is off indicating the airbag is still on.

Took it to dealer, they indicated a prob and replaced my entire lower seat assembly. Then it did the same thing and they changed the story and said that was how it's supposed to work.

SO many this recall will change the harness and get my pass airbag off feature working correctly.

It also seems like we finally get some idea of production numbers

05-06 sedans - 76, 703
05-07 coupes - 57, 512

Who knows if that is worldwide production, or just US or US+Canada

But that seems small. About 35K sedans per years and 19K coupes per yer?

Of course, i know that;s not official production numbers..but closest we've gotten

Well It reports dates, but it also lists a factory
TACHI-S CO., LTD.
3-3-7, Matsubara-cho, Akishima, Tokyo, Japan
so it might be how many the factory pumped out

Nope, there can be a consent form or something to allow others to drive the vehicle. Last time I dropped my car off at the dealer they asked if anyone would be driving the vehicle so they can get them included in the documentation.

Do we wait for the notification from Nissan - before going to dealership for repair? Would like to have this fixed this week. My airbag warning light started blinking last night - already making me crazy.

Yes you gotta wait.

In the meantime you can try resetting your airbag light. Just cuz it is on doesn't mean it is related to the recall. Could be a separate issue
