The 03/04 sedans have a stupidly heavy midpipe... swap for the really light coupe midpipe, and save even more weight... and have a better exhaust

For that kind of money, I'll get me a GTR R35, a 911 4S conv 6mt and will still have money left to customize both cars.
To talk about the topic, I went from a 04 coupe to a 05 sedan 6mt. Both great cars but the sedan is more practical, and I love the way the rear seats folded and most of all the driving experience and it's a sleeper. My wife has a 05 sedan but I never admitted to her that her car was faster than my old 04 TL auto, and I know that the 6mt is way faster too.

You're comparing 2 cars that are exactly the same. Almost everything is the same. Sedan is lighter... but not by enough that's statistically significant. They have the same motors, and same power output... The exhaust thing is all stupid... No one keeps the stock exhaust anyway Plus the axle-back section of the coupe weighs twice what the sedan's weighs (probably an exaggeration). If you're thinking of going sedan.. DO it. It's so much more practical. Good luck finding a good 6MT though... ebay will probably be your friend honestly.

what are the advantages vs. disadvantages?
Lately I have been noticing the sedans and they have really grown on me, im really liking how they look!
Maybe im getting old,
I have a black 2008 sedan. While it certainly doesn't look as good as the coupe, it does look better than 99% of every other sedan on the road.

BTW, took my wife and 3 daughters out to dinner at Newport beach which is about an 80 mile round trip. My daughters are 25, 22 and 17. Try that in a coupe.

BTW, I also found mine in the autotrader, but it is a 5atm.

Sedan lighter misconception. well I don't know where this came from but I looked up the weight of the 05's coupe vs sedan (I own an 05) Coupe gross weight 4360, sedan gross weight 4500 pounds. Which makes sense........

Personally I like the looks of very few sedans, (just personaly taste) I think the coupe looks 1000 times better, though the roominess is nice.

Looked up "curb weight" as well. Nearly negligible differences.

05 coupe 3512 05 sedan 3512
06 coupe 3524 06 sedan 3472
07 3524 07 3532
09 3662 09 3615

Did you take into account whether the car was a manual or auto? I saw a chart comparing the weights a long time ago... and comparing the coupe to the sedan in the SAME transmission (6mt or auto)... the sedan was always lighter. It is possible that a base model 6MT coupe would be slightly lighter than a fully loaded AUTO sedan.. but not even by 50 lbs. If I remember right, the auto tranny made a huge difference in the weight figures. Well, regardles... the weight has hardly any bearing on whether you should get a sedan... because it has been shown that the sedan is ALWAYS lighter... especially if you're looking at the 6mt. Tests have also shown the motors have put out the same amount of power (when 6mt is put up against 6mt).... but this should be obvious
