FML Hit and Run!

So yesterday I was sitting at a light trying to make a left turn and all of a sudden bammm I get smacked from the back. The Mother F**ker tells me to pull over on the next st just to tell me he had no license, insurance, and he was on Parole! I was being cool about it trying to work with him and told him to bring your wife down here and say she smacked me.. So he gets back in his car and i thought he was callin his wife but I think he was debating on taking off so i wrote his licenses plate number and all of a sudden i hear him hitting the gas.. I was chasin and following him but since i got his plate I went back to the seen on the accident and got a police statement and there was a witness.(Oh yea it was a Altima coupe 2.5s).

PS: So now everytime i try to put it in park it dont fully go into park I have to give it a lil nudge.(this also happened to my friend's avolon. It never happened until that accident.

Well this **** never happened to me b4 and idk what to do.. I'm just waiting for the insurance ppl to call me tomorrow... Any suggestions??

Yeah - in the future don't try to work with people - call the cops.

I work for an insurance company, pm me if you have questions...it varies from state to state, but you have uninsured motorist coverage, give the plate number to your insurance carrier, they can run it through the dmv, locate the owner and send them to collections..and once its verified they have no insurance you will get your car fixed plus a rental w/ no deductible. In some states if it is a "phantom vehicle" i.e come out and your car has been hit you may have to pay 200 but regardless it wont cost you much.

+1

And most of the time "settling it outside of insurance companies" comes back to bite you in the ***.

This happened to me before, except I wasn't lucky enough to catch the persons license plate.

In Louisiana it seems there are plenty of people driving around uninsured.

The problem with it is that even though these people don't have insurance, hit you, nothing happens to them. Not even a slap on the wrist.

So I guess the mentality of a lot of people is; why bother? I hate that mentality.

Good luck with getting the plate info. I agree with everyone else, call the cops and forget trying to deal with the individual. It is always in instances like this that you find out how shady people are. It's not worth it. All in all your case will work out ok fortunately with a police report, a witness, and the culprit.

don't be nice to crooks. What you were willing to do was illegal, so you were putting yourself in a position of being a crook!

next time call the COPS ASAP

Thank god I didn't take the 2g cause the estimate came up to more than 2grand. I'm letting my lawyer do all my paper work/ medical expenses and going to the doctors today.
