something to say about the 1st Gen!!!!

well recently my 05 G35x threw U1000 code which may be a ground issue. My mechanic advised me to search for the ground issue which to me is like a needle in a haystack! however I doubted the G and was considering trading it in as I have 109,000 miles on it, but while thinkin of a comparable car I have found nothing to match at its price point used and I don't like the 07-09 as they aren't visually better! Then I realized that my 05 has gone 109k miles with NO problems what-so-ever except for brake pads, and this U1000 which is nothing I guess as it hasn't returned in weeks! 2 thumps to the G..

front seat rail problems. twice. front brakes worn out. 4 tires. battery replaced. Windshield after rock in it.

As you can see, most are wear items, except for the seat.

And of course some scratches in the paint. So it has been pretty reliable over 68K miles and 6 1/2 years.

^Obviously you guys are all blind Infiniti fanboys as your cars have had problems that means they're all complete JUNK

J/K ... Inside joke for some of the regulars

My car has 117K and the only problem I've had was the radio issue. So far the car has been great for >100k

My seat has been driving me NUTS lately. Definitely feels like its getting worth.

Other than that though, just a few rattles and regular maintenance. Car is bullet proof mechanically wise.

^Did you ever figure out if yours was loose bolts or the bracket starting to tear?

Ok Ashley, i looked under there at the frame piece (under the buttons) and it isn't torn nor does it look like its torn. After some visual inspection and rocking the seat, it appears just to go back and forth, and its just moving along the rails.

Does that just mean i have to tighten up the bolts or is it a rails issue?

By the way, in that other thread, a guy posted a TSB for this. Is that true? if i take it to the dealer, will they just replace the assembly for me?

Made a note for myself to run in tomorrow morning and ask my favorite service manager about the TSB. If that can be fixed before i leave for Florida, that would be fan-freaking-tastic.

Lets hope all goes well time for me to sleep.

Over 5 years and 60K miles of ownership, I've had to fix/replace the following:

1) One set of shocks
2) Two sets of front rotors
3) Two sets of front pads, one set of rear pads
4) Differential fluid and ATF fluid, once
5) Oil 15 times
6) 3 sets of tires
7) A/C clutch bearing (under warranty)

Now my 6 y/o battery needs replacement!!!!! This car is a total POS!!! I can't wait to get rid of it! Pure Nissan junk.

Seat cant be fixed under a TSB

Who knows how to fix it? New rail assembly? It isn't torn, just slides forward.
