G35 Automatic Transmission HP Power Rating??

How much HP can the automatic transmission handle HP/Power wise?

Transmissions are rated in torque capacity and not HP. Any vendor that quotes you that they can modify your tranny to handle Xhp can't be trusted. It's torque that's going to break things. With that said, I believe the JATCO 5AT in the G35 is rated to handle around 325 ft/lbs. The same tranny with heavier components can handle over 400 ft/lbs in the Titan.

Damn that K&N air filter I bought is gonna put me over the limit! I better ride around with my AC on from now on...

I put down 360whp and 300lb-ft of torque and it's been running great with only a transgo shift kit. It'll even chirp 3rd gear.

seen lots of 5AT guys running around. Most do fine with a shift kit and Torque Converter for 400 at the wheels. You need to control the gear that you are in when you plan on boosting though. Several guys have burned them up by keeping in D and punching the gas.

80K miles total and 5K of those have been FI. I beat the CRAP out of my car though...it sees SEVERAL wot runs every single day and has been to the dyno many times in those 5K miles....lol.
