Rearview Mirror w/Homelink

I have a G35 Sedan with sport package and I want to add the Rearview Mirror with auto-dim and Homelink option. Is there a part number that I can buy this option? What modification, if any, I have to do to install this option?

i would go to ur dealer they should have some there. As far as the install it looks like all u need to do is run a power line in the roof to the mirror. The transmitter for home link appears to be in the mirror

I was told that mirror is 600.00. How much is it? I think all you need is a power line..

The power line might already exist. On a production line, it's generally cheaper to have a single wiring harness even if not all the cars use all the connectors.

$600? I hope not; I've been wanting to do this since I got my G but didn't want to be the first one to retrofit the Homelink mirror.

I was hoping someone with more guts or knowledge than me would try first (so I could learn from their mistakes ).

I know to purchase just a sunvisor with homelink for a Ford costs over $400, so the $600 price does not surprise me.

Aren't those standard features for the G Sedan? This is the first time I heard that someone actually got a regular review mirror on the G, north or south of the border.

G35: Black with Willow/Canadian Premium Package.
Z3: Silver with Red leather interior.

The auto-dimming Homelink rearview mirror is part of the Premium Package, which I see your car has.

Re: Rearview Mirror w/Homelink

There is a discussion on this topic at Altimas.net, search for homelink, http://www.nissantalk.com/forum/show...ight=homelink. However, there is no confirmation that this has been succesfully performed.

Buy the 350Z AutoDim w/homelink mirror for $246 at this site, http://www.nissanwholesaleparts.com/.

If/when I get the G or settle for the Altima, that is what I would try. I don't need the G premium and wouldn't pay 2200 to get it. (sunroof for 1000).

Good luck, and let us know if it works.

Ryoken, The Homelink and Auto dim RVM is standard on our G's up here in Canada. No choice on that as you guys in the US have...........

Re: Rearview Mirror w/Homelink

Anyone plannig on trying teh 350Z mirror on our G sedans? I bet it will work. I think that these are very much self-contained!

All you need is a powersource. Does anyone knwo if ALL cars (w/o the premium package included) have the wiring harness to connect it?

If there isn't a power source just run a wire from the fuse box....

Re: Rearview Mirror w/Homelink

Is the green power light for the autodim or for the homelink?

Autodim. The on/off buttons on the right are for the autodim, also.
