Don't worry about what Infiniti says. I run 245/40/19's all around and am very happy with the look, ride, and performance. I do have rolled fenders 'cuz I'm dropped on S Techs.

I really like it. Bit of stagger, very similar overall diameters (rear just slightly bigger, as it should be) and no need for crazy camber, maybe just a bit of fender roll in back.
they are not rays, they are enkei or something, its these
offset is
Fronts: 19-8.5 43
rears : 19-9 30

Are you sure about those offsets? Here's a snip from a post on nicoclub:

G37 OEM Wheels Specs
Sport
Front: 19"x8.5". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti by Enkei. Weight: 26.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5 Offset +43
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 225/45/19 92W. UTQG 140AA, weight 27 lbs., tread depth 10/32"

Rear: 19"x9". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti byEnkei. Weight: 27.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5. Offset +45
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/40/19 94W. UTQG 140AA, weight 30 lbs., tread depth 10/32"

I think those are the wheels you're talking about right? And that's where the funny tire sizing comes from, too, I'll bet.

that information is wrong dude.

coupe 18's are staggered tires on 18x8 all around from the factory....I think that's a bit weird, but....

Putting 245-40-19 all around on a staggered set of wheels..now that's even more weird.

If you were dead set on changing the tires, I'd throw on some 235/40/19 and 255/35/19. Do it like it's meant to be done, staggered.

That actually might be my next combination on the coupe Rays. The rear should fit with my drop.

on stock wheels, the one that is wider is usually higher offset, not lower.

+30/+33 was the offset on the coupes/Z before
+43/+45 is the offset now.

Makes sense that the rears are wider, but offset is the distance from the wheel centerline to the mounting base (the part that goes against your hub). If I'm thinking about this right, you should be able to confirm it by measuring inward from the rear of the rim to the mounting base. It should be 4.5" to the centerline of a 9" wheel, and a further 30mm OR 45mm to the mounting base.

So from the inside of the rim to the mounting base it'll be about 144mm for +30 offsets, 159mm for +45 offsets. Guys, am I getting the math right here? haha!

^theortically thats correct, but factoring in human error, rounding errror, and the facet that the ruler would be sitting on top of the inflated tire and not the actual wheel, it'll give a rough estimate of offset but not the precise measurement.
