Torque Control Impact Wrench...pretty neat!
Hi all,
Anyone have one of these?

That's pretty neat that you can set the torque. I use torque wrench myself but was looking into getting an electric impact wrench for the axel click issue. Some said tightening the axel nut may fix the clicking noise. So I've been looking at electric impact wrenches and stumble onto this. Or the other option would be impact wrench + torque sticks. Doesn't hurt to have one in the garage for tire rotations.

Yeah, it doesn't look that good but if it does what it said then it's not bad for the price. I don't like the idea that it has a 12v dc plug though. I would rather have a 120v plug.
I'd never recommend using an impact to take off lugs (unless totally necessary) and definitely not to put them on. Powered devices like this can chew the heck out of your rims and you run a higher risk of cross-threading. The lugs on our cars only need to be on with 75 to 90 ft/lbs. That's nothing with using an 18" breaker bar. I never use a torque wrench to tighten my lugs. Once the lug can't be tightened with minimal force, I then lean into it for another 1/4 turn. It's plenty.
My Mechanic bought a nice set of protective sockets to avoid any damage to either lugs or wheels. I have no idea where he bought them but they are of really good quality since he paid mucho money.
