AC Condensor has a hole! Ahhh...

I took my car into Goodyear today hoping that I had a small leak since my AC isn't working (temperature is getting up there unfortunately as well). After putting in dye they said that I have a good sized hole in my AC Condenser and their cost was $150 for the unit and another $200+ for the installation...I opted to leave (after paying $45 for the stupid test) and am now hoping someone has had some experience with this. I'm curious where I might be able to find an AC Condenser (probably call Autozone, Checker, NAPA, etc. tomorrow) and if anyone has installed one of if you've seen any DIYs on the installation.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Common problem, the intake will rub a hole into the AC lines. Need to find a way to protect the AC line, Maybe putting some silicone hose covering for the lines near the intake.
Not sure about the DIY...

Hole in the AC Condenser, not the AC lines.

You can prob install the condenser yourself, but refilling the ac is something you need special tools for.
You must pull a vacuum on the system using a pump capable of very high vacuum, and then you refill with oil and r134 based on system pressures using special gauges.
But another good source of a condenser might be rockauto.com.

Thanks guys for the awesome links and info...any of you guys ever attempted to install? I'm ok with car stuff (done countless suspension and random things (most difficult being Plenum)) but this looks a bit more involved.
Also, vacuuming and replacing will be $75ish assuming I can install the stupid condenser...sucks so bad!

It's not that bad. I'll have to take a look at my condenser to see how bad it is, I think all you'll need is basic hand tools and some ac spring lock tools and you can do it
